When his mother, Suzanne, moved to the desert, Kurt and his family thoroughly enjoyed their many visits to the Palm Springs area, experiencing all of its ambiance and the wonderful desert attractions and having the opportunity to explore the various desert communities. Witnessing the sophisticated evolution of the Coachella Valley, while maintaining its small-town charm and lifestyle, Kurt decided to move to the desert as a full-time resident of Rancho Mirage. Although the area may be a bit warm in the summer, it certainly beats the harsh winters in the Windy City.
